E. Joan Hill’s life began on May 18, 1943 in Iola, KS; the daughter of Harold “Doc” Williams and Helen Rowley. Joan worked hard for her family and was always working. She waited tables and managed restaurants for most of her life. She was united in marriage to the late Jerry Hill, Sr. Joan had a servant heart and was always working to provide for her family. She never stopped pushing forward, always followed her routine and had an eye for detail. She enjoyed trips to the casino with her significant other, Roy Raines. Her loving family includes her significant other of 15 years, Roy of Towanda; son Jerry (Shelley) Hill, Jr. of Pocatello, ID; grandchildren Jacqueline Miller of Baxter Springs, KS and Alexander (Carolyn) Hill of Pocatello, ID; great grandchildren Bella, Jamison, Joanna, Amelia, Vada and Joseph; siblings Marcia, Shirley and Don; and special dog Maggie. Joan passed away on May 16, 2021 in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents and sister, Darlene. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 20 at 11am at Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Susan B.
