Longtime El Dorado resident Duane Myers Scobee, passed away after a short illness on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, with his loving family at his side. He was 43 years old.
Duane was born on January 26, 1976 in Emporia. He grew up in El Dorado and graduated from Circle High School in 1995. He was employed by BG Manufacturing where he worked as an assembly worker.
Duane had a special love for his dog Rome, and will be remembered as a kind hearted and very giving person. As part of that giving, even in his death, was the decision his family made to help others thru the Midwest Organ and Tissue services, donating to others that might benefit and help others in need.
Preceding Duane in death was his Aunt Cheryl Stackley and his grandfather Frank Myers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Debbie Pierce and step-father Leon Pierce of El Dorado, sister Kelli Rena Schak and husband John of Joshua, TX, his grandmother Peggy Myers of El Dorado. He is also survived by his aunts Terri Blackston, Kathie Rice and her husband Kevin, and Beverly Mosier. Uncles Tom Myers and his wife Ramona, John Myers and his wife Jodi, Fred and Eddie Stackley. He is survived by his Great Aunt and Uncle Carol and Jerry Unrein, dear friends Daniel and Aly Jernigan and many loving cousins.
