Tribute

Donna Carolyn Stroh was born on April 25, 1938, first child of Audrey and Edward Carter, Sr. in Galesburg, Illinois. When her children were young, Donna put herself though college-the first in her family to do so. She became a third grade teacher, and at the same time, got her Master’s Degree. She became a school counselor and eventually a grief counselor. Donna loved her family, reading, feeding the birds and squirrels, her cats, dogs, and her flowers. She knitted many socks and sewed lots of clothes and quilts for her loved ones. She married Mike Stroh, July 4, 1981 and his career at Texaco brought them to Kansas. He proceeded her in death in 1995. She is survived by her Daughter, April Scott (Dave), Son Matt Frazier (Leanna), Granddaughters Jessica Nolan (Chad), Brooke Hess (Adam) and Great Grandchildren, Wesley and Cambree Nolan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Friends of Feline Kansas in Wichita. Donna will be laid to rest in Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado. “The most important thing is, even when we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.” -Christopher Robin
