Dolly’s life began on October 20, 1936 in rural Edna, KS. She is the daughter of Clarence and Eunice (Reedy) Stalford. Dolly is a 1954 graduate of Labette County High. She was united in marriage to Raymond D. Deaton in 1959 in Miami, OK. Dolly worked for Skelly, Getty and Texaco Oil in El Dorado as a data processing technician retiring in 1997 after over 33 years of service. She was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church. Dolly’s pride and joy was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her loving family includes her husband Raymond of El Dorado, son Steven (Darla) Deaton of El Dorado, daughter Brenda (Frank) Powell of Wichita; grandchildren Bethany (Sean) Patty, Christy (Ryan) Oliver, Derek (Emily) Deaton and Mallory (Tyler) Goodrich, all of El Dorado; her great grandchildren- “her babies” Treyton, Taegen, Tucker, Truett, Tysten and Tannler Patty, Khloe, Hayden, Lily and River Oliver, Adrik and Heidi Deaton, Owen, Kaidence, Brett, Carson and Reece Goodrich, all of El Dorado; her brother Ray (Sharon) Stalford of Edna and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Dolly passed away on December 1, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Nathan Lindsey, infant great grandson Kade Miller, sister Betty Gudde and brother Don Stalford. Her family will gather with friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
