Tribute

Hope, as she was known to all who loved her, passed into Heaven on December 3, 2019, at Homestead of El Dorado where she had been a resident for almost 5 years. She was born in Towanda, KS, May 28, 1923, the seventh child in a family of eleven children born to Berta (Wilson) and John Wilford Hackler. Hope and her family resided in Cassoday, KS for most of her life. She met Arthur Henry Kropf, Jr. and they married on November 19, 1942, at the Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, KS. Arthur and Hope purchased property outside of El Dorado and enjoyed a life of farming and raising their three children: John Arthur, Eldon Eugene, and Ramona June.
   Preceding Hope in death are her parents, brothers: Hurley, Kefton, Ardra, Erie, Ian and Deacon, sisters: Hilma, Kesta, Merry, both sons, John and Eldon, and a grandson, Tyler Kropf. Those remaining to celebrate her life are her daughter Ramona Myers, sister Sharon Marenco of San Jose, CA; grand-children: Everett Kropf, Julie Oliver, Gia Hertel, Heath Myers , Jacque Tacha , and Robyn Blachly, and all of their respective families which include 9 great-grandchildren, and Hope’s good friend and sister-in-law Bernice Hackler.
   There will be a graveside service Tuesday, December 10, at 2:00 pm at Economy Cemetery, El Dorado, KS. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Homestead of El Dorado.
