Derek Edward Wildin passed away April 4, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. He was born June 16, 1959 in New York City. He was preceded in death by his father, William (“Bill”) Wildin; his mother Jayne (Clark) Bailey; stepfather Glenn Bailey; stepmother Joy Wildin; sister Micki (Bailey) Wood; and brother David Shiplet.
Surviving siblings include Blythe (Mark) Roberts; Brad (Jeannie Widler) Wildin; Kathy (Rafael) Noriega; Teresa (Joe) Jacques; Ted (Cindy Seivley) Wildin; Lisa (Bill) Anderson; and Tim Wildin. Surviving stepmother, Prawphan Wildin.
He was a graduate of El Dorado High School and had a career as an Auto Mechanic. Although he never married, he had many nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. Derek lived in various places, from New York to California. He moved from Wichita, Kansas to Denver, Colorado in 1993, making his home near mountains, nature, and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., to be followed by a graveside gathering at the Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
