David Glen Wiens, age 66, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2021. He
was born in El Dorado, KS, on March 13, 1955 and lived his entire life in the
Towanda/El Dorado area. He graduated from Circle High School in 1973. In May 1978,
he married Diane Brown. David worked as an electrician from 1975 until his death. He
was the owner of Dave’s Electric. David was friendly and didn’t know a stranger. Many
people have spoken fondly of him and shared their experiences and conversations with
David is survived by his wife, Diane; their two sons, Nicholas (Amber) Wiens and
Wesley (Shae) Wiens; his new dog, Buddy; mother Elizabeth Wiens; brother Gene
(Paula) Wiens; sisters Sherrie (Jim) Brewer and Christy Bacon; grandchildren Sky and
Parker Wiens and Eve and Vincent Wiens; sister-in-law Wanda (Dan) Fox;
brother-in-law Jim (Joan) Brown; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and
nephews. David was preceded in death by his father Melvin Wiens; mother-in-law
Martha Brown; father-in-law Robert Brown; and his beloved dog, Pedro.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, from 5:00-7:00 at Carlson Funeral Home,
200 S. Star, El Dorado, KS. Graveside service will be at the Towanda Cemetery at 2:00
on Friday, March 19.
