David’s life began May 28, 1952 in Buffalo, New York. He is the son of Charles and Delores (Romboski) Sysak. David graduated high school in Buffalo and soon after entered the United States Navy. He served his country from 1972 until 1992 in the Navy and Navy Reserves, retiring as a Petty Officer, 1st Class. David took the skills he acquired in the Navy and went to work for Cessna Aircraft Co. in Wichita as an aircraft mechanic in civilian life. He was united in marriage to the former Sandra Clark on October 2, 1999 in Towanda. David enjoyed hunting and fishing, reloading, tent camping and attending the Veteran’s Reunions at El Dorado Lake and his motorcycles. His greatest joy was his family which includes his wife Sandra of Towanda, children Kristy (Zach) Zieman of Benton, and Shawn (Chai) Egbert of Wichita; sister Kathy (Al) Heeler of Albuquerque, NM; his father Charles Sysak of Albuquerque, NM; father in law Bill Clark of Towanda and brother in law Bruce A. Clark of Towanda. David passed away on January 19, 2018 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado. He is preceded in death by his mother Delores. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Towanda Cemetery led by Pastor John Martyn. Carlson Colonial Funeral Home is serving the family.
