Daniel Leigh McFadden 69, born Dec. 8, 1949 in Great Bend, KS, died Sept. 10, 2019 El Dorado, KS
Dan is survived by his wife Patty Jordan McFadden of 49 years, three sons: Scott, O’Brien & Tim, six Grandchildren: Dani, Dayna, Genesis, Conner, Leslie and Kolton; one great-grandson, Koda. One sister, Kathleen Brandt. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie & Wilma Mcfadden and one brother, Patrick G.McFadden.
Dan had a varied life. He was born at Great Bend, KS and grew up on a farm South of Bazine, KS. He attended Joint One School through the eighth grade then attended Bazine High School until he graduated in 1968. Dan had several different careers working construction, pastor at a Baptist Church in WaKeeney, KS, Scuba Instructor and dive shop owner, storage facility manager and student housing coordinator at both Butler Community College and Barton Community College. Dan liked people and was not afraid to talk to anyone.
Memorials requested in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association, St. Judes, Butler Community College or Barton Community College.
