Christopher “Chris” Brown’s life began on August 28, 1975 in Wichita, KS; the son of David and Lynn (Bryson) Brown. In high school, Chris was First Team All State 1A in Basketball and Football. Chris earned his Associate’s Degree from Butler Community College and attended Emporia State. He worked, 18 years for Kansas Gas Service, most recently in the Pressure Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time and playing with his son, Zack; 4 wheeling and playing basketball. Chris also coached little league for Zack as well. He always remembered his niece’s birthdays and always sent his mom hand picked Mother’s Day cards with special notes inside. Chris enjoyed grilling and smoking meat for parties. He was an excellent father, amazing brother and uncle; who will be remembered for being loyal and loving. Chris’ greatest joy in life was his family which includes his sons, Zack Daniel Brown of Cassoday; Cadence McHaley of San Diego, CA; parents David (Lynn) Brown of Burns; siblings Aaron (Tammy) Brown of El Dorado and Denise (Jason) May of Marion, KS; former wife Daneen Brown of El Dorado and 6 nieces. Chris passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2020 at his home in Cassoday. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends may gather with the family from 3-7 on Saturday, May 23 at Carlson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 11am at Cassoday Cemetery in Cassoday.
