Billie Louise Scholler, age 91, of Saline, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born on June 13, 1926 in Douglass, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late Zillah May Richolson and Willard Paul Dunagan. During World War II she worked as a drafter at Beech Aircraft in Wichita, sketching airplanes for assembly. In 1945 she married her sweetheart Donald Joseph Scholler, and in 1947 they were blessed with a daughter, Catherine. She spent most of her career working as a bookkeeper for The Gas Service Company. Billie's interest in artistic pursuits and the beauty of the Kansas prairie led to her later, lifelong hobbies of painting and golf. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Scholler of Saline, MI, grandson Jeremy (Jane) Dabrowiak of Santa Clara, CA, granddaughter Rebecca (Kurt) Hiser of Pinckney, MI, and great grandson Zachary Hiser, as well as sister-in-law Mary Margaret (Frederick) Shields of Lenexa, KS, and several nieces and nephews. Her graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday April 26th at 1 p.m. at Sunset Lawns Cemetery led by Father Brian Bebak. Carlson Colonial Funeral Home is serving the family.
