Tribute

Arthur’s life began on May 10, 1925 in Greensburg, KS. He is the son of Pete and Laura (Schmidt) Unruh. Arthur served his country during World War II and worked as a machinist for the Skelly Refinery. Arthur was united in marriage to Grace Joy (Abraham) Dunning on December 7, 1947 in El Dorado. He was a member of the VFW and the DAV. Arthur is survived by his step son Ernest ( Sara) Dunning of Kerrville, TX, brother Jake (Charlene) Unruh of Broken Arrow, OK, sister Marjorie Unruh of Wichita; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Arthur passed away on January 22, 2019 at Brookdale Guadalupe River Plaza in Kerrville, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace Joy, daughter Joan Joy Gibbs, and brothers Amos, Chester and Harry Unruh and sister LaVerna. His family will gather with friends on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home for his funeral service with military honors at the funeral home.
