Tribute

Ann’s life began on February 26, 1933, in Abbeyleix Co. Laois, Ireland; the daughter of Thomas and Maureen (Acton) Davidson. Ann came to the United States as a young adult and remained in the country ever since. She met Om Tandon as they lived in the same apartment complex in Patterson, NJ. Ann and Om were united in marriage on September 10, 1966 in Patterson. They were married for 48 years. She and Om travelled the world together. Ann believed a cup of tea fixed everything, a cup for morning, a cup for worries and a cup for any situation. She was known for baking tea cakes. Ann was known as the “hostess with the mostess”. She was a very classy lady and was always well put-together. She was always formal but welcoming and genuine. Ann had a wonderful sense of humor. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her daughter Sheila (Rex) Hoyt of Leon; grandchildren Chase Hoyt, Kaytlin Hoyt, Lane Hoyt, and Kendell Hoyt; siblings Elizabeth (Dr. Louis) Byrne, Michael (Ginger) Davidson, and Helen (Ken) Anderson. Ann passed away on January 27, 2020 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Om and siblings Brendan Davidson and Olive (Michael) Turner. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7pm on Friday, January 31 at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 1, 10am, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be directed to the Susan B. Allen Cancer Center.
