Rosa Marie Fillmore, 94, long-time resident of El Dorado, Kansas, died December 12, 2017, in Plano, Texas. Visitation with family present will be held on Saturday, December 16 from 10-11 AM at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado, Kansas where her services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Bella Vista Mausoleum in El Dorado, Kansas.
   She was born September 26, 1923, in El Dorado, Kansas to Pearl H. and Rosa E. (Crumrine) Jellison. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1941. She attended Butler County Community College and pursued Art Studies at the University of Colorado. She married Gerald R. Fillmore on October 8, 1950 in El Dorado, Kansas.
   Rosa Marie was employed for many years by the O. L. Hughes & Co., Public Accounting Firm and specialized in income tax accounting and return preparation. For over 30 years, she and her husband, Gerald R. Fillmore, were the owners and operators of the Stardust Motel and Restaurant and adjacent Texaco service station in El Dorado.
   Later, Rosa Marie and Gerald relocated from Kansas to Plano, Texas, to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. While in Plano, they resided at Preston Place and more recently at the Legacy at Willow Bend.
   Rosa Marie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, Kansas, and a member of the Methodist Church Circle. She was also a charter member of the El Dorado Art Association. Her hobbies included oil painting and appreciation of fine art. She was also an avid golfer and competed in regional golf tournaments across Kansas.
   She is survived by her son Robert M. Fillmore and his wife Judith A. Fillmore of Plano, Texas; son Randall S. Fillmore of San Francisco California; granddaughter Katherine A. Fillmore of Austin, Texas; and granddaughter Christine M. Fillmore of New York, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald R. Fillmore, and her parents.
   A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, Kansas, and the family has suggested memorials may also be made to the American Lung Association.
