Richard’s life began on October 16, 1951 in El Dorado, KS the son of Lawson L and Lois Laverne (Coleman) Hanes. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1970. Richard worked for the Butler County Weed Department for 10 years. He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and Adult Softball. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and the Kansas City Royals Baseball team. Richard passed away on July 6 2017 at his home in El Dorado. His family includes his sister Sondra Barrier, aunt Mary Phillips of CA, aunt Bobbie Mears of KS and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lawson and Lois and several aunts. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date
