Becky’s life began on December 12, 1945 in El Dorado. She is the daughter of Alva H. “Pete” and Helen "Billie" W. (Day) Teter. Becky is a graduate of El Dorado High School and attended Butler County Junior College. She was united in marriage to Jim Demo on September 14, 1962 in Wichita. Becky was a caregiver working in the nursing home and as a private home health aid. She was a loving mother of seven children and couldn’t get enough of her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her “grape” grandma. She was a faithful member of the Cassoday United Methodist Church and enjoyed her Tuesday Bible Study group. Her loving family includes her husband of 54 years Jim of Cassoday; children Denise (Skeet) Wiggins of Wichita, Paige (Bob) McCoy of El Dorado, Meleah (Gary) LaRue of Cassoday, Melissa Demo of El Dorado, Jason (Nina) Demo of Augusta, Jill (Charles Hon) Demo of El Dorado and Shari (Eric Crawley) Demo of Cassoday; 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; sister Rhonda (Rollen) Fooshee of El Dorado; and a “mom” to many. Becky passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents. Her family will gather with friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at Carlson Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at the Cassoday United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Cassoday United Methodist Church.
