Judy’s life began on April 11, 1947 the daughter of Walter B. and Margaret (Stringer) Harris in Wichita.  She was united in marriage to Stephen Brooks on May 31, 1970 in Wichita. Judy enjoyed volunteering as a senior tax preparer and also as a member and church deacon at First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado. She was a medical assistant in El Dorado. Many saw Judy as a selfless and giving person. Judy passed away on January 15, 2018 in Kansas City, KS. Her loving family includes her husband Steve of El Dorado; children Diana (Larry) Luginbill of Fort Worth, Michael Brooks of Wichita, Jennifer (Todd) Dufoe of El Dorado; grandchildren Amy (Austin), Isaac, Ciara, Brandon (Alicia), Jacib (Mariah), Alyssa (Jon), Stephen, Domnyk (Laura) Trystn, Toby Jeromy and Jarret; four great-grandchildren; sister Janice (Dennis) Luginbill of Towanda and several nieces and nephews. Judith is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Brooks; granddaughter Justis; four sisters and one brother.
