John’s life began on April 6, 1944 in Salina, KS. He is the son of Ted and Eleanor (Robison) Hasker. John attended school and graduated from Camdenton High School. He was united in marriage to Sharon Anderson on January 21, 1989 in El Dorado. John was a cook and restaurant owner in the area. Cooking for the Red Coach Inn and the Edge of Town in El Dorado and the Rusty Bucket in Towanda. He enjoyed going dancing and that is how he met Sharon, at an AMVETS dance. He was a furniture refinisher and a tennis player. He loved to feed corn to the deer and squirrels near their home twice a day in the winter and he was an avid reader of Louis L’Amore western novels. His loving family includes his wife Sharon of El Dorado, daughter Shawna Stark of Omaha, NE, grandsons Jordan and Thomas, three great grandchildren, step children Belinda (Larry) Leach of Henderson, NC, Robert (Lori) Miller of Chisago, MN, and Patricia Spiller of El Dorado, 13 step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and his siblings Joan Winkleman, Carol (Bob) Richardson, Jolene Hasker, Joy Hasker, Jay (Rojon) Hasker and Gene (Joyce) Hasker. John passed away on May 17, 2017 in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings. John’s family will gather with friends at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kirby-Morris Life Event Center to celebrate his life.
