I was stunned to hear of Dan's passing and am so sorry for your loss. I have known Dan since 1986 when I became choir director at St. Stephen's. He was a loyal and enthusiastic choir member for many years and truly enjoyed being a part of that group. I will always cherish his friendship and the memories I have of him.

"Your Word has been my comfort and a refuge when I'm weak,
Expressing feelings dear to me in Words I cannot speak.
Please build in me the faith and trust that Your Word does impart.
And help me always know Your Love is Greater than my heart."
Philippians 4:6-9

I was heartsick to hear of Dan's passing.
I just wrote him recently because he'd gone silent on emails and worried about him.
I too will miss his his shared wisdom and knowledge through his informative messages and links. He kept me supplied with articles on clean energy advancements including his brother Matt's experiences with his electric car, advancements in aircraft technology and events and changes in the Arts around the world.
I was in advanced design when Dan came to Beech Wichita from Beechcraft Liberal Ks in the very early 1980's. His love of everything small aircraft is what brought him here from sunny California. I sat behind him in the Advance Design green room where we became friends. I afterward worked with him in various other groups through the years. I very much cherished his positive attitude in the face of what ever adversity life threw him and most of all being able to call him my friend. He will be missed.

It was my good fortune to work with Dan and enjoy his vision of what new technologies could do for the future of aircraft.
In addition Dan also provided a wonderful perspective on model aircraft design and construction. I was proud to see his models on display at the EAA museum.
His email communications we're always insightful. I'll miss them.
So sorry for his loss...

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Dan was my desk-mate when I started at Beech in 1993. He was always of good cheer and was a great help to me learning the ropes in my career. I still have the flying hockey puck he made for me sitting on my desk. Whenever I see it, it and he bring a smile to my face. Condolences to his family and God bless.

I have know Dan since the 70's in advanced design at Beech. He was a really good engineer and an invariably cheerful person, even while fighting cancer. I was extremely disheartened to hear of his passing since he seemed much better once he returned to work, and was pretty much his old self at work. My condolences to the family, and I'm sure Dan is telling everyone in heaven, "Another day of fun and games."
