Charles E. Stowers, age 69, of El Dorado, died Sunday morning November 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 6, 1948 in Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Iona Stowers; sister Rickey Ashenfelter and great-nephew Logan Tessler. He held various jobs throughout his life most recently operating a rental business until his death. His hobbies included gambling and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his four nephews and nieces; Mike and Kerry Ashenfelter of Augusta, Mark and Juli Ashenfelter of El Dorado, Kari and Dwayne Killman of Towanda and Keitha and John Wilson of Oklahoma City; 15 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew. Visitation will be on Friday, November 10 from 10-11 AM at Carlson Funeral Home with family present. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10 at 11am led by Pastor Stan Seymour. Memorial contributions in Charles’ name may be directed to Good Shepherd Hospice or to the Tom Murry Fund for Cancer Innovation.
