Randy Strasser

September 14, 1965 ~ March 20, 2024 (age 58) 58 Years Old

Tribute

Blake R. (Randall) Strasser, 58, passed away March 20, 2024.
He was born September 14, 1965 at Susan B. Allen hospital in El Dorado, KS.
He was the son of Blake O. and Linda (Abplanalp) Strasser. His occupation, for over thirty five years, was construction and remodeling. Among those jobs were sandwich shops, which sometimes, sent him and his crew to other states. One Easter, he and Robert were “forced” to go “site seeing” in Montana, due to the shop being closed for the holiday. He enjoyed his work, was determined to do the best job possible. When it came to work ethics, he was known be a perfectionist.
He loved animals. His pets were “family” to him. He enjoyed the outdoors and always planted a large garden. Potatoes were planted on St. Patrick’s Day. The other part of the garden was tilled and ready for the seeds, which were sorted and ready. The rows for strawberries were covered with mesh wire to keep the deer from foraging them all.
Many weekends were enjoyed at the farm with friends and family. A time for hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, or just hanging out, sharing a few tall tales.
A major joy was the elk hunt, north of Milford Lake, where the family would camp on summer weekends. Wouldn’t you know it. . .first day of season, he wasn’t able to even walk, stricken overnight with a serious case of gout! He did get the elk the next weekend, that trophy is mounted on the living room wall.
He was preceded in death by all of his grand-parents and his father, Blake O. He is survived by his sister Chelley and his mother Linda. Three nieces: Haleigh, Allie and Sydnie, and one nephew: Tahner. Eight “Great nieces and nephews” Aleighia, Ariah, Asher, Skylah, Stetson, River, Nash and Baylor; two aunts: Sherry Edwards, Candace Elting and many cousins, including Robin, Jesse, and Travis who were always there to lend a hand, hunt, or fish. . .whatever the case may be.
